Golden Era of Strength, Muscle & Learning

Zach here with a quick update of tips for
the morning Gladiators who love to read, learn
and do the damn thing!

I was doing some research on Bill Starr aka Starr Man as
I write my final chapter of IRON Journeys Book (Pt I is on
Amazon - make sure you don't miss it)......

And even though this was The Silver / Golden Era of
Bodybuilding and Weightlifting, I see it as something
even deeper.

It was The Golden Era of "Learning".

Back in the 40s, YES, the 1940s (This was more like the Bronze Era),
Bob Hoffman took his team of York Barbell lifters cross country,
holding exhibitions in any place they could lift weights in.

They lifted in every imaginable site: church basements, health fairs,
Rotary Clubs, Lion’s Clubs, Knights of Columbus, Kiwanis, Masonic Lodges, VFWs, lots of high schools, and every summer we lifted in front of a huge crowd at the York Fair.

Back then, people were hungry for information and more so,
KNOWLEDGE.

You got information through the TV if you owned one, radio stations,
and of course, print - newspapers and magazines.

Talk about getting psyched up as you knew for days and even weeks
that The York Barbell crew was coming to town.

As a kid, you likely started doing push ups and lifting cinder blocks
or bricks until you saved enough money to buy a York Barbell set.

Maybe the 110 lb standard barbell set.

What about the men? The Dads? Did they strength train?

Only the rare few? Back then, men worked with their hands.

I have lost that skill since I am so busy working in our modern
day world of run around.

Think of simpler times in life, and, simpler times in strength training.

Full Body Workouts.

2 - 3 sets of 8 - 12 reps.

Simple Foods and no "diets" - just eat less and do more, the sh-t that
actually works.

Raw Milk. Raw Honey. Fresh Bread.

None of this "gluten free" or whatever other BS "food"
we must worry about today.

That is Dad STRONG - simple training yet extremely effective.

Teens can train with their Dads using our program.

Or.....

Keep scrolling through tiktok and flakebook.

Keep wasting time.

Or....

Start making sh-t happe.

Get a dumbbell or kettlebell.

Barbell would be great but not an absolute.

And just start training, getting strong and inspiring your family.

Hell yea.

Good morning, Gladiator. I have a great reminder for you today..... Yesterday evening I went to my local high schooland got to watch some Summer Wrestling. It's quite simple actually, yet the "experts" keep denying these truths. The majority of wrestlers who were jacked and strong were the wrestlers who were winning. Yep. In a world where the "gooroos" are talking like everyone is "too strong" and how strength is making them slower, I saw the opposite. The wrestlers who were jacked and strong...

Good morning, fellow Gladiator. I hope you had a GREAT weekend and you are ready to destroy everything that stands in your way. All weekend I was in Staten Island for Baseball and I was remembering when Staten Island was known for having a few hardcore gyms. Those days are gone. Today, the "hardcore" are mostly in their own garage and basement gyms. Commercial Gyms are an extension of influencers and too many peopleworking their thumbs while laying on benches and machines as if it was their...
