Letter from The IRON Heavens

Good morning, IRON Gladiator -

Writing to you from Annapolis, Md. - it's always great to
see my kids play sports.

Most of all, GREAT to spend quality time with my kids :)

I know Bill Starr used to live somewhere in Md and
also coached at Johns Hopkins. I have a friend who
actually was coached and mentored by Bill.

I feel the IRON legends in the air.....

It is true. I feel connected to them.

The Iron Heavens aren’t quiet anymore. Only the legends get
in along with REAL lifters who were true LIFERS and lived
for the IRON.

And so as my mind wanders..... I must share.....

More voices have stepped forward.

Dave Draper.
John Grimek.
Bob Zuver.

Men who didn’t just lift weights…

They lived the code.

They built physiques with purpose. Yes, they were Champions
of the world in bodybuilding and / or weightlifting.

But, they also trained the mind. They trained to dominate
in the arena of LIFE.

They trained with pride. Early workouts before work or late afternoon
workouts after work.

They turned gyms into proving grounds — not social clubs.

Respect was Earned through the WORK.

Zuver’s Hall of Fame Gym wasn’t a place to “work out.”

It was a place to earn respect. A place to TRAIN and test your
mind and body through the most indestructible pieces
of gym equipment known to Man Kind.

Grimek didn’t train when he felt like it.

He trained because that’s what strong men do. We show up and
do the damn thing - feelings don't get a vote.

Draper trained with intensity… but more importantly — consistency.

Day after day. Year after year. From NJ to Cali.

No shortcuts. No distractions. No excuses.

And now they’re all up there…

Looking down upon us.

Not impressed with talk.

Not impressed with “trying.”

They’re watching what we DO.

Do you train… or do you talk about training?

Do you push with intensity… or do you coast?

Do you show up and destroy your excuses … or do you negotiate with weakness?

Because where these men come from…

There was no middle ground.

As Mark Smelly Bell says:
Either You're In
or You're in the Way.

You either built strength and built your mind into an indestructible force—
or you lost it.

And they’re asking you the same question right now as they
look down upon us from The IRON Heavens:

Which one are you doing?

The doors to the Hall of Fame aren’t locked.

Zuver's Gym may no longer exist but we can build our OWN.

The doors don’t open for talkers. For frauds. For fakes.

NO.

The Doors are Only open for those who WORK.

Pick up the iron. Zuver's built some of his equipment from junkyard
scrap metal.

What's stopping you?

EARN IT.

Live the Code 365,

Zach

Back in 2009, I recall taking a "sick day" from teaching when my buddy Joe Kenn reached out to bring his staff to trainat The Underground. Louisville was in town for a Football game vs Rutgers and The Underground was 10 minutes away. We had a great day and it was amazing to have a high level D1 staff to not only train, but to LEARN. "House Rules" was that his staff must train with the Coach. There was no option to "Do our own program". Why? How do you learn if you refuse to try something new?...
